Has anyone ever used MPQ Extractor on any of the .mpq files in World of Warcraft?
Here's the deal. If you use that application on those files, it pretty much unlocks all the sound files that are in .wav format. And when I say all, I do mean ALL sounds from the game. Music, footsteps, spells, ambience, voice work, interface sounds, grunts, you name it.
Everything has been good up to Wrath of the Lich King, except I've stumbled across a slight problem. The new sound effects meant for patch 3.2 are being difficult. The .wav files appear as iTunes file logos instead of giving me the option to play them, and when I try to open them via Quicktime, it gives the me error "Operation could not be completed. (OSStatus error-208.)
Anyone besides me encounter this issue?

OSStatus error-208 is a corruption error, I assume that the mpq extractor is incorrectly extracting the new files.
