I've got a couple of apps approved on the app store (one of them is a game). My question is, if I posted the name and the app store blurb here, is that spam or is it OK? BTW both are free, they're small apps I put together in my spare time.

Are you kidding? Spam is strictly forbidden here. For example, I could never, ever mention my Realmaze3D iPhone game or start a topic about it. If I were to mention Realmaze3D, that would be bad. I'd say it would definitely be pretty spammy if I were to promote Realmaze3D like that. Have I mentioned that I wrote Realmaze3D? Well, I won't mention it, because it would be spam to say anything about the Realmaze3D game that I wrote. In fact, just forget I mentioned anything at all about Realmaze3D.

I need to make a rule about shamelessness.

So then I won't EVER be able to post then? Geez.
What the hell kind of rule is that? I'll have to moderate myself!

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

THE SPAM THAT STARTED IT ALL: Ok, it's a little game (free) called Press This! And guess how you play it? You press the button that shows up!
But that's not all - the button moves after each press, and the number of presses for the current session is shown on the button. The highest number of presses for any session is shown at the top of the screen.
So it's not WoW, or even Space Invaders, but for certain personality types it can be strangely additictive. Oddly enough, it can be a family bonding experience (which I didn't expect while I was programming it). For instance, I'll press it a couple of hundred times, then pass it off to my daughter. Then she gives it back to me in an hour or so later (she presses it while she's talking to her friends), and the cycle starts again. By the way, the wife thinks we're crazy (it's just a button!).
If anyone wants the code, let me know.
<SPAM OFF>
By the way, has anyone heard of an app called Realmaze3D? I remember hearing about it somewhere. Oh well. Realmaze3D.

Go ahead and post about your programs in a new thread and give us links to them. Feel free to hype it up all you want in that thread. This thread is pretty much a punching bag for every sad sack and his dog... rather like Captain Kirk in the new Star Trek movie.
