I'd just finished "grokking" together Kiero's Open Reloaded version of the pen-and-paper Wushu RPG rules with a bit of Mortal Coil thrown in (along with some house rules) and got bored so bought myself the PDF version of the revised edition of the Baron von Munchausen RPG.

And reading through those rules which focus on telling stories of your character's fantastic adventures over good drink and with noble persons (obviously not French people) there are several hundred openings to challenge your opponents with.

Which leads me to then ask, our illustrious tBC ...

"How did you lose both your legs at the Battle of Utrecht and yet still manage to recover the Crown Jewels of Sweden hidden from inside a cow?"

and

"Why do members of the Polish Calvary salute you and address you as General Bock?"

Hmmm?

There. I think there was a leak in your foil hat.

well, the Dalai Lama's llamas are definitely bigger. But those belonging to everyone else, it just depends on if your measuring in inches, centimetres, barleycorns or hands.

Some unworthy group of 13 financial workers in Edmonton (north of Tuncer, a-ways) split the $49 million on a single winning ticket, not me. Each will pocket 3-3/4 million. Not bad. One young woman among the group almost didn't bother going in on the joint ticket until the last minute the buyer for the group was literally walking out to buy the Quick Pick tickets. No 8-core gerls 'puter for you just yet.

K... well, a frog is about 9 barleycorns in length and using Avoirdupois measurements weighs approximately 64 drams, whereas a red kangaroo is a third of a perch tall and weighs 1 hundredweight, a quarter, 2 stone and 4 pounds. So according to this, a llama is much larger and weighs much more than a frog.

But surely, since the land of Oz is still under the steel toe capped boot of our imperialist yolk, you must still use our archaic and decaying units of measurement! lbs. and oz. feet and inches. Sod all that metric nonsense, clearly for those sissies on the continent to enjoy their frogs legs and champagne with... Stiff upper lip boy!!!

I saw someone wearing measuring tape braces on TV... Surely a stretchy measuring tape kind of defeats the point of having a measuring tape in the first place?

Rather like using a curved level or a coal fired thermometer, whatever gives you the results you are looking for is what matters. Don't let science stand in the way of progress.

Although we might be still under the commonwealth, we are a county of our own, and so we use the French system of measuring.

Also, the measuring tape braces, that is great.

Lucky bluecoats! Poor King George III had porphyria. Just when we needed strong leadership he was away with the fairies. :)
