I just bought a Rain Design stand and the Apple full wired keyboard for my MBP from Newegg, just hooked it all up last night. It all looks very nice and clean. But ever since i hooked it up, i have noticed that OSX has been acting a bit odd, not just the OS, but with the other programs as well. I'll list everything that has happened so far. I have the Logitech Mx Revolution mouse, and it hasn't ever had a problem with this computer until last night, i am noticing that when i click/right click on something, there's a 2 second lag until the command actually goes through. Last night it happened every so often, but tonight, it's happening more often. Then today, just about 2 hours ago, the function keys on both keyboards, the new wired, and the built-in one, just shut off. When i tried to restart the computer, when i pressed restart nothing happened. I waited for about 15 mins, trying it a few more times, until i just held in the power button. I also just tried join some files with split & concat, and the program said that i didn't have enough memory to complete the process. SO i had to use WinRAR through Crossover to do it. I'm also noticing that when i try to get into dashboard or spaces, there's a lag, or it doesn't happen at all unless i press the button a few times. Now my computer is up to date as much as it can be, so what can the problem be?

I just noticed some other things are happening as well. When i click on an app on my dock, it takes 5X as long to load it up. Like when i clcik on Toast for example, it normally bounces once then comes up. This time, it bounced 10X, then came up. Firefox normally doesn't even have to bounce to come up, it bounced 5X. Also, after Toast came up, i'm trying to burn some discs, when i went to go search for the files, Toast froze for 1 minute with the spinning wheel. Now it never does that normally. And also, firefox is freezing when i create tabs to do multiple pages at the same time. This is just incredibly odd.

sounds more like a system issue than K&M.
Could be some dead RAM, try running rember see what happens.
It could also be your HDD, first check the SMART status in Systm Profiler>Serial ATA, and then if youve got a disk utility try running it.

In any case, you should attempt to make a backup of your HDD right now, cos something screwy is going on and you could lose a lot of important stuff.
Polytetrafluoroethylene to my friends.

Macbook Pro - C2D 2.4Ghz / 4Gb RAM / WD Scorpio Black 320GB ( 255GB OSX v 42GB XP ) / Geforce 8600M GT 256Mb / 15.4"
Cube - G4 1.7Ghz 7448 / 1.5Gb RAM / Samsung Spinpoint 250GB / Geforce 6200 256Mb

We won! Apple offer the 17" with a matte screen! Well... at a price...
