Hey fellow Mac RPG'ers!

I apologize if this has been posted already and I missed it, but this group is recreating "Ultima 6" for the "Dungeon Siege" engine and a Mac OS X version is available on thier site.

I might give this a go with a crossover install of PC dungeon siege because the 'native' mac port is a crime against nature with such shoddy and erratic performance.

Hi!

You don't need a "Mac Version" as Dungeon Siege mods are cross platform compatible, you just download the mod and place it in the appropriate Dungeon Siege directory. You can read more about this in your Dungeon Siege documentation!

Hope this helps!!!

OK -- I'd thought this is an .app unto itself, but it isn't.
My mistake.

Thanks for the clarification !

I'm a big fan of Ultima series and Ultima Online, going to be nice to see this come to fruition.

Some dungeon siege mods are cross platform but not all. While I'm certain the 5 and 6 remakes are cross platform (I have tried the 5 remake some time ago) it was not them I was taking a swipe at but the dodgy dungeon siege port on the mac platform. It has very erratic performance. I don't know if its been patched for leopard/intel, but I dread to think what it plays like on an intel machine if its running its already shakey self under rosetta.

It may be the only way to play at all though since I cannot get the PC version (Legend of Aranna version) to run after installing it under Crossover :(
