[the Battle Cat]

I was sitting around wondering how I could possibly annoy and oppress you folks even more.  I've got my knee on your necks, I've got a target on your backs, I've got a per syllable tax on your posts and I thought to myself, "These people are just too used to suffering, the cries for pity and the wails of despair have died down to soft moaning."  Then while I was thinking to myself I thought about sex, but then quickly got back to thinking of ways to make you suffer because I can focus.  OK, I just thought about sex again, but really it only lasted a couple seconds.  What I came up with between thoughts of a Denise Richards and a Miss Alabama sandwich was to give Frost a crack at you guys.  He's been banging heads together in every bar brawl in Texas for the last half dozen years.  So in that spirit, I am making him a moderator.  May the Good Lord have mercy on your souls.

Ha!  Last time he asked you said you don't make people mods who request it.  Glad you had second thoughts (either that or the bribe/threat was sufficiently large).

Has anybody beside me noticed that this place is slowly being overrun by alt.games.marathon nerds?  First it was Frigidman, then it was the Battle Cat and now it's Frost.  Now I'm not the one to cry "conspiracy" but I think if you all look under your seats you will find a pamphlet titled, "All Your Base R Belong to UESC".  Now look out your window, if you see a dead Pfhor on your lawn then you have been marked.

I would like to thank all of you from the very core of my soul for the Triumph you have thrown for me this day and for the honorary title of Moderatus Magnus bestowed on me through the office of Imperator Perpetuus Tuncer by Consuls Bellum Cattus and Fermium.

I know there are rumblings about the public that I have returned from foreign forums to conquer, and that I pressured the Consuls and Senate into this, that I have brought my legions across the River Offtopicus in violation of centuries of tradition, or that this is the formation of the first Marathon Triumvirate which will henceforth rule in perpetuity, but know this is not true! You know in my career I have thrice been offered a kingly crown, which I did thrice refuse. Had any other asked me, I would have refused on principle, but an old and dear friend sought my assistance and I do give it gladly for as long as he and the people have need of it.

And so as Praetor Eric and his valiant triarii return to their homes for well-deserved retirement in honor, and Proconsul Brixtus continues to fight the barbarians in the east to stave off the disease-ridden trains of spam wagons they would have stinking and rotting in our fair streets, I do accept this honor and pledge to defend the Senatus Populus Que Macintossus with all my strength until such time as I expire in the line of duty or the Chinese spam hordes are finally and utterly crushed.

The awful truth is that I was considering him before he offered, and there was another afterwards who refused the offer, so I decided to go with Frost after all.  I mean hell, I've known him since he was a pubescent teenager... which by the way isn't a qualification.  I'm just saying... you know what, I don't know what I was saying.  I'll just hit the back button and not post this.

1. That was a joke, I probably wouldn't have taken it if that had gotten me an offer as I was a busy SOB at that time

Don't worry, I subscribe to the Curtis LeMay theory of moderation. That is, if you're one of the good guys, you probably won't even notice I'm a mod unless the rhythmic thumping and flashes on the horizon followed by the occasional distant bonfires from carpet bombing spammers, gold farmers, and viagra vendors bothers you.

If the one chance to speak up or forever hold our peace is gone - I will protest most violently. I had several thousand posts on this sight... but... but Frost stole them on his path of assassinations espionage, bribery, and torturing to get to the top. I am the light of this website and will not let it fall to the coldside with moderators such as Frost and Frigidman. You have all seen his abilities on the battlefields of online multiplayer - such skill is not holy and is definitely from the evil cold gods. I assure you fellow IMG members.
