Aspyr Media has begun shipping Sid Meierís Civilization IV: Gold Edition for Mac. Released in partnership with 2K Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Sid Meierís Civilization IV: Gold Edition, featuring both Sid Meierís Civilization IV and Sid Meierís Civilization IV: Warlords, will arrive on retail store shelves this week.

Sid Meierís Civilization IV is the ultimate strategy game, offering players the chance to lead their chosen nation from the dawn of man through the space age and become the greatest ruler the world has ever known. Wasnt a port of Beyond the Sword in the works? Does that mean there's a Civ IV: Platinum edition in our future?

Is this just a box with the two seperate games, or have any changes been made?

No Beyond the Sword?  Do yourself a favor; buy the complete PC version and play it using Crossover Games.  It works great, costs less, and the expansion really makes the game a lot better.
