Hello all,

probably not so much of an update as adding some more smilies and facebook-isms to MSN6, then calling it MSN 7 to keep it sounding "up to date" with the PC version, while it continues to lag behind in every single area.
Polytetrafluoroethylene to my friends.

Macbook Pro - C2D 2.4Ghz / 4Gb RAM / WD Scorpio Black 320GB ( 255GB OSX v 42GB XP ) / Geforce 8600M GT 256Mb / 15.4"
Cube - G4 1.7Ghz 7448 / 1.5Gb RAM / Samsung Spinpoint 250GB / Geforce 6200 256Mb

We won! Apple offer the 17" with a matte screen! Well... at a price...

Adium is ok, but the thing squeaks, burps and makes various other sounds that freak me out.

iChat looks nice but I'll never use it since it doesn't work with anything except AIM, which no one uses here in Canada. Hell, even the other exchange students from Europe and Latin America haven't even heard it.
Must be a US thing.

Also for a fairly basic, but operational alternative to MSN messenger is Mercury Messenger.

I actually liked Mercury Messenger, but I found it was a pretty bad resource hog. It's why I sometimes use aMSN.
Maybe it's just me?

I haven't experienced any slowdowns using Mercury. I should also note that it lets you use your webcam, unlike MSN Messenger and you can sign in invisible.

Anyone know when (and if) Adium is having support for webcams? I really do not want to have to change to another IM, as it is great, with its customization and everything.

¿Eh?
