It'll be interesting to see which Windows developers might start using Unity as their developing tool of choice. Could be good for us... and them.
A little company called EA already has bought licenses and is working on a MMO. Cartoon Network, etc.
Which also got me to thinking ... why did DICE and EA not choose Unity for their (PC-only) browser based MMO Battlefield Heroes? Given a small team of say 3–5 good people (artist, programmer, sound, etc) you could easily recreate the basics of that game in a month, and have it fully done in not much more than that ... plus have the added benefit of being fully cross-platform.
Raven 13" MacBook (unibody) 2.0GHz | 4GB RAM | 500GB WD Scorpio Blue | 256MB 9400M
Magpie 20" Core Duo iMac 2.0GHz | 2GB RAM | 250MB HD | 256MB X1600 ATI
"No, I have no reason to claim that, except to appease the octopus that lives in my head."
"HA HA HA HA! You got a gerls computer. Real men game on a PowerPC!" -- tBC
"Cats don't need names ... we know who we are." -- Neil Gaiman

Well, there's your problem... much too fast of a development cycle for them!

What is strange is that Playnet registreated the name Unity 3D already in 2000, or was it 1999.
Unity 3D® is the graphic engine that runs in World War II Online: Battleground Europe.
