Man ....

Someone with the exact same problem as me! lol
I was lucky enough to find a copy on eBay & now it won't even load.

I was gonna start this topic but I keep forgetting.

Please someone answer him! lol 8^ ]

This is my favorite game of all time & ever since I played up to the nightclub level on a freind's XBOX, I've been so trying ta get this on my MacBook.

My tech circumstances are the same as MacGallant -- only my MacBook's white [they were soldout of the blacks when I was in the AppleStore. lol].

Put this file into your 'base' folder (alt-click to download probably). If it autorenames to autoexec.cfg.txt, change the name back to autoexec.cfg.

I was wonderin' by any chance, is there a way ta play, in whatever way, "Jedi OutCast" without the CD in the drive?

I ask 'cause I don't mind at all playing that way but whenver I use the battery it disappears after, like, an hour or so. lol

Thanks In Advance!

you could try making a disk image of the CD, and then mount the disk image whenever you wanted to play. Use disk utility to do this. This works for most old games however i forget if it worked for Jedi Knight. I lost my copy of JK years ago - great game though. Many great memories of the campaign and online multiplayer.

@SS
When I try ta make a diskimage, an alertbox pops up that says there's trouble with the file or some such ....
It's a real gamedisk, not pirated -- I bought it from eBay.

2 more quick questions:
1] I want to play online but the Universal Binary patch doesnt activate multiplayer -- any help ?
2] How do I play a Macintosh JO mod ?

:)

There is a separate app for MP, which should have been patched too I think.

To play a mod, take the folder that contains the mod and put it in the same folder as the JO/JKA app, then go to the settings or something and there should be a menu to load modifications.

Interesting! I'll add the change to our code in case we ever patch this again.

Please do so -- patch Jedi OutCast -- again, Brad.

I truly truly believe this is one of the greatest games ever made.
I really really do.

The images are definitely broken, as they don't show up in any browser.

I am sorry ta hear that -- especially now from so many different people.

This is the website I use > ImageShare
I don't wanna use PhotoBucket or anything else I hafta signup for.
I just wanna upload/copy/paste the URL -- so that it'll show up here at "Inside Mac Games".

Any suggestions as to which website to use ?

Thanks In Advance !
