Hi all,

I'm looking for Wizardry Gold, that classic RPG on the Mac... Does anyone know where I could get that?
I just want to relive those good old days...

I own Wizardry II on single sided floppy, it's in the original box with the copy proof serial code booklet, a tablet marked out in a grid for mapping the dungeon, and manual.

Wow, Wiz II... those really were the days. While it is a good game, I'm only looking for Wizardry Gold. I just loved the world it's set in..
if you know anyone who has it sitting at home, I'd very much like ot buy it (I'm based in the UK)...
How would you get the game onto a modern mac (without floppy drive)?

Well, I thought I changed over to a more modern storage media but after a quick check, I only copied it over to double sided floppy. Dang. It was my first RPG and I sort of imprinted on it. I never heard of Wizardry Gold, when you mentioned it I thought it was perhaps a compilation of various versions of Wizardry but now after a quick google I see it is a stand alone game. So, sorry to have interrupted you.

PS: Turns out it was Wizardry 1 that I had.

No harm done.. :)
If you get a chance to get your hands on Wizardry Gold, make sure to have a look: All of the Wizardry series were awesome, they just don't do rpgs like that anymore.. I'm on the lookout for Bard's Tale III now, too Another fine classic..

Yes, they did. But I found a way to play it now: I downloaded Boxer (a shoot-off of DosBox) and just run the Dos-Version of the game in there.. It runs very smooth! You should try it out.. it's an amazing game!

I dont have the "gold" package, but you don't need it...

All you really need is to find and download "Wizardry: Crusaders of the Dark Savant" DOS version... then play it inside of DOSbox... runs great for me that way... was a good old game....

or if you can find the Windows version of Wizardry VII Gold ... it runs through Wine just fine on OSX.
