Tried Peggle Nights.

Loved it. Fist-pumping utter brilliance. Addictive like my wife's home-made slightly chewy best-when-warm chocolate chip cookies (more?). Bought it. Love it. Grabbed the free spring levels pack. Then I went ahead and bought the original Peggle Deluxe for Mac that is ONLY $5 right now!!!

I'm addicted. Fully addicted. Freaking awesome.

How did I miss this joy?

PS. Did I mention that the original Peggle Deluxe for Mac that is ONLY $5 right now!!!

OK must get back to the sixth levels now in PN, uh, I mean work.

I was just introduced to Peggle via my iPod Nano and I've been playing every night while laying in bed. Dumb ol wife is reading, HA! Her loss. I'M getting something accomplished!

5 bucks? Heck fire, I bought it for my Mac. Now I'm a two fisted Peggle player! Awesome slo-mo finish, makes you feel like you are getting just reward for all your effort and I have to laugh at how impossibly high you score is each time. Now I have replay button!!

I should have added the link to the new one, Peggle NIghts that I also bought. $19.95 is a steal for this much fun.

It's pretty incredible what a time-sink Peggle can be. Those challenges can really suck away those hours. I'll get around to Peggle Nights eventually, when (or if) I ever complete the first outing. It's a pretty ingenious design for a game that pretends to be "casual."

They will have to pry my Peggle out of my cold dead hands, which incidentally don't have any Peggle melted on them. But they will wonder when the last time I washed them was. And they'll probably comment on my fingernails.

I had a laugh out loud moment today. I was shooting at my last peg and the drum roll started and the screen zoomed in... but I missed and I heard something like a TV audience groan in dissapointment. Funny stuff.

Although I have not started Peggle Deluxe, I am now on Stage 12 (the last stage), level 2 of Peggle Nights adventure mode. Score over 16,000,000 currently. And yeah, I've heard that audience groan too.

I like this game so much I'm tempted to buy extra copies (PopCaps five install limit is nice ... one laptop and one in the iMac's game account for the kids) of the first one for $5 each and hand out a few to the uninitiated IMG forum members just to spread the joy. Yeah, it's that good.

Now back to setting up my new 22" widescreen ViewSonic and re-arranging the upstairs office arrangement. Offline for a bit while router and modem move.

I love the 'long-shot' bonuses.... yeah... of course I planned that shot right from the beginning, it wasn't a fluke :cool2:

I'm now a Peggle Master, working on the challenges. I like the "Extreme Slide" reward when you make a ball land on a curved surface so that instead of bouncing, it follows the contours of the surface lighting every brick. One time Master Jimmy Lightning (the skateboarding beaver) appeared with a thumbs up and a "You ROCK" statement after a particularly good slide and I wasn't even using him!

I think Master Hu's Zen Ball is my favorite, thought I could not have defeated the final double helix level without Lord Cinderbottom's Fireball.

Working through the master levels now on both. Darn, the levels where you have to score at least 400K or 450K in Peggle Deluxe are frustratingly difficult.

It would really help if it were more like pool, but "gravity" makes it so that I can't guarantee the path after the second peg.

Curse you DaveyJJ for introducing me to this Peggle "stuff". Now I need my fix every day, I mean hour, I mean ALWAYS. It's the single most addictive game I've played since Super Bomberman 5 on the SNES in multiplayer mode. The "just one more level" feeling is simply irresistible. It's true magic. :pinkpony:

Damn, I missed the 5$ promotion on Peggle Deluxe a while back, bought it at the regualr price sans IMG discount at Mac Game Store. Still, it's well worth $18,95 and I hope MGA will be offering Peggle Nights pretty soon.

Have to get back ... now ... not to the mansion, but to Stage 7 of Peggle Deluxe. :teehee:

Ugh. First played this when they were giving away a Valve-themed mini-version (guess you could call it a demo!) with the Orange Box.

This thread prompted me to pick up the full version of PD during the sale. Got all the challenges, and now I never need to play it again. :blarf:
