what kind of usage do you have in mind?
is it computer only? or PS3 too?
if the latter youd probably want to get the Sony BT headset (better sound quality, not that it matters given everyone else's sucks, though I did pretend that I was Mr. Echo to some kid that sounded like he was Mike Yaroshinsky but English whilst thrashing everyone at MS:PR once) cos it plays nicer with having external speakers. Also, if people talking is annoying you, you can turn it on and put it to one side so it takes all the audio and doesnt disturb you.

um... right..

of course, for an all in one solution, I dont really have any suggestions. But you should aim for USB instead of jacks. digital audio all the way=better.
Polytetrafluoroethylene to my friends.

Macbook Pro - C2D 2.4Ghz / 4Gb RAM / WD Scorpio Black 320GB ( 255GB OSX v 42GB XP ) / Geforce 8600M GT 256Mb / 15.4"
Cube - G4 1.7Ghz 7448 / 1.5Gb RAM / Samsung Spinpoint 250GB / Geforce 6200 256Mb

We won! Apple offer the 17" with a matte screen! Well... at a price...

Its going to be for both the computer and the PS3, and its needs to be an all in one headset mostly due to the fact that my parents aren't a fan of the language in games. They don't care if I play them but they don't want cursing booming through the main floor of the house

At the moment I'm using the hugely awesome iPod earbuds for my sound output, and having the headset in the other ear for times when i want to chat with ppl. As you can understand the sound quality is amazing but I'm looking to upgrade for just a slightly better experience ;)

play more japanese games? :P

you know, Im not 100% that the PS3 will output all sound to a USB headset. have you got one? or would you like that I check for you (Ive got a Logitech PoS from yonks ago, USB though).

that headset looks fairly decent in terms of reviews... but unless youre an audiophile I doubt it will really matter that much beyond how the mic does, how comfy it is on your head for hours at a time and the ability to adjust the volume quickly. On the final point, it looks like this one doesnt have built in volume controls...

I checked with a PoS old Headset that we had laying around, looks like it won't output audio via headset besides chatting. If their was a headset that outputed sound via optical i could use that
