FYI, the Unreal III links are missing from www.macsoftgames.com website. Replaced with MONOPOLY. The only remaining link is the press release dated 12/2007 which communicated a release date of "early 2008"...with Spring mentioned as a target.

Hopefully, it's because of impending UPDATES on a release date.

in my opinion both are dead (UT3,GOW) there will be no mac-port.
i think we should concentrate on other AAA-titles like

WOLF2
i would prefer a WOLF2 mac port much more than this SF UT3.

I actually didn't mean the year...

One other hint: that article is a review. Or is it?

Just read about the Titan pack. Greed mod in its UT2004 form is awesome--I'd love to have the UE3 engine and a new Greed!

I will never look at the porting process the same way again.

What?  You mean about Michael Jackson?  Well... from the coverage it appears they found Michael's stash of drugs and that everyone involved started using them.  Film at 11.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that PhysX is included in UT3 and that there isn't a Mac version of it?

What's Unity?

My statement was a question, as I didn't know either way.  I know the crap PhysX add-on stuff was why Mirror's Edge's port to PC was delayed.  Silliness I say!

PhysX has been out for Mac for years. Afterall, Macsoft already has plenty of experience with PhysX having actually ripped out Havok from Age of Empires III and redoing all the physics in PhysX to avoid Havok licensing fees. Havok must have been ridiculously expensive to make all that time and work rewriting everything in PhysX cheaper.

What's more even hardware GPU accelerated PhysX should theoretically be possible for the Mac, since nVidia has had CUDA drivers available for Mac for months now. I actually emailed Macsoft about the possibility of hardware PhysX acceleration for UT3 and they gave the standard they'll have the developers look into it response. But even that was months ago.

http://www.phoronix....s...m&px=NzI4Ng

In any case, the latest response for UT3 was in May from Ryan Gordon. Phoronix, a Linux site, was questioning UT3's Linux status and Gordon replied that it's still in active development. I'm assuming this also applies to the Mac version since they were being ported in parallel. Of course, this was the same response he gave out in his March update, so it may be a while before we exit this loop.
