Around 5PM this afternoon Steam's servers blew up, apparently. Dropping from about 1,000,000 concurrent users to just 100,000 in less than 20 minutes. You may get the dreaded warning dialogue about your local files being hosed. Do not uninstall your intsallation of TF2 yet! This is normally how you solve this issue. I did and now their downloads are not currently working due to demand (?). zWait and see if once the STeam servers are back functioning the files are OK before removing 2.5GB from your drive.
