Hi all,

Silly question: Does anyone know if Ambrosia's Aquaria will run on a 1GHz G4 Quicksilver with Leopard?

Went to Ambrosia's site today, but they seemed to be down.

Thanks,

Jim

The system requirements say 1.42GHz G4. That's probably not enforced, but it might be kind of un-fun on less...you can download the demo and find out (the site's coming up fine here).

Hi and thanks,

Re: Requirements: That's kind've what I thought, but for some reason here, they put them up in MHz, which left me a bit confused (duh!).

I may try out the demo and see what happens. I've also tried Supercow, but it plays in painfully sluggish, like in a sort've super slow motion. It's pretty much unplayable. For that one, the download said the requirements were Leopard, so I thought I was okay. But when I emailed the publisher, they told me the requirements were G5 or Intel.

I wonder if one of the G4 processor upgrades would help with either. I have been thinking about doing that, but it's a bit of an expensive crapshoot.

Any thoughts on this?

Anyhow, thanks again!

Instead of putting the money into a CPU upgrade, it's probably about time to put it toward a new Mac, I'd say.

I just got around to downloading it tonight and...

IT WORKS--HOORAY!!!

Runs smooth as glass, so I may go ahead and make the purchase.

BTW--wouldn't it be great if they did a Ferazel's Wand sequel w/graphics like these...
