I recently got a 4th Generation iPod Nano. It came with several games on it and I'd be interested to hear what games you guys would recommend that I play on it.

There is Spore Origins, and Tetris. Someone should port Mario to the iPod, that would be sweet.

I already bought Spore Origins and I was pretty disappointed with it. Liberator, have you played it on a tiny screen? You are supposed to avoid things that eat you on a 2 inch screen, it can be done even with the quirky 4th gen iPod nano controls but the game shouldn't be played on such a tiny arena. I quickly grew tired of it. I rarely got enough DNA for an upgrade, and that's the fun thinking part of the game. Thanks for the response though.

Is there a Shooter, an RPG or adventure game?

I'm not sure anyone really plays games on the non-touch iPods; there's like, what, a couple dozen or so total? It's all about the iPod touch, man...that's where the games are.

Song Summoner is pretty fun, if you're into cheeseball jrpgs.

edit: Phase is good also. Basically Guitar Hero for iPod, but with your own songs.

Of the 8 or so games I bought for my Classic, the only one I really played was Tetris. Too many are too complicated for a wheel with a button in the middle of it. Monopoly was good, but all the board games are board games for a reason.

So, tBC has a click-wheel right? I'm pretty unfamiliar with click-wheel games.

It is sort of a click wheel. I'm not sure how the other iPod click wheels work but just moving your finger around the click wheel without pressure moves the selection bar, so you have 360 degrees of movement rather than 4. Also there are accelerometers in it, as well as tilt sensors. One of the games is a tilt-board-marble game where you move the marble over checkpoints by tilting the iPod.

I don't remember there being an accelerometer in any iPod Classic. Do you par chance mean the iPod nano?

By the way, I own Spore Origins also, and I couldn't be bothered with the game either, although I did think someone else might have liked it more.

Looks nice, hope it lives up to a good Tower Defense app. :)

Yes, I have a 4th generation iPod Nano. It's black too so now I have street cred.

It's a iPhone/iPod Touch game. Seems like somebody didn't read the thread properly...

He edited it, I'm sure, then used his mod power to hide the truth. I wouldn't be surprised if he owed some back taxes as well.

One game I really enjoyed on my 5th gen iPod was Peggle, but I'm not sure if it works on the iPod nano or not.

I keep hearing Peggle addicts go on about this game, it's about time I tried it. Thanks for the recommendation, I got the game!
