--------------
Hello everyone,

I hope I am not breaking any rules with this posting.
If so, please delete it.

I would like to announce the Mac gaming community that we are almost done with the Mac port of our popular game,
Hacker Evolution: Untold
http://www.exosyphen...ion-untold.html

It's still in beta stage (we have taken all steps to make sure it works ok).
If you spot any bugs or issues, please let me know.

This is our first Mac game (we are developing indie games for 6 years now).
I hope the Mac community will find our addition of value, and we hope to release Mac versions for all our future games.

We will see if it's a contender to Uplink

Hi,

The editor is not yet ported to the Mac. (We will see about this in the near future).
However, if you are into modding, a basic text editor is more than enough, as the level format is clear text and organized in a simple fashion.

Sounds like good stuff. Might poke around at the weekend.

I downloaded this, but wasn't able to open it. The icon bounces in the dock then goes away. I opened it via the terminal app ("Show Package contents" etc) and it seemed to fail to open because the screen resolution was defaulted to 1440x900 or something, and my max rez is 1280x854.

Any help? I'm on a G4 powerbook, running 10.5.6

Intriguing. Here few points I quote:
  • I cannot find how access general game commands like "save" or "options" when a game is started.
  • In the window mode the windows take the full screen despite my resolution is much higher 1920*1200.

Hi,

The menu can't be accesed inside while in the game (it's not needed).
The game automatically saved your profile when you complete a level. You can't save during a level, as it would make the game borring.

I am afraid your second issue is a bit unclear. You mean the game window is the full size of your desktop?
That has been changed now. Try the latest demo uploaded just now, from here:
http://www.exosyphen...ion-untold.html

Also,

The Mac version is now officially available here:
http://www.exosyphen...ion-untold.html

Enjoy :)
