Anyone mentioned yet that Rome TW is now available as Universal Binary?

Nope.  Cool!

Still doesn't look like there's a demo though.

Still waiting for a digital download version.  Don't want to deal with disc checks anymore.  I'll keep playing the PC version until I can legally download the Mac version.
There they were, sitting in the van with all those dials, and the cat was dead.

I just got "Rome Total War" for Mac. Newest version was included on the DVD. It has been stable, but SOOOO SLOW.

I have turned everything down, impossible to see arrows and spears from the air, which can be devastating.

I run it in my screen's native resolution, 1680x1050. I have a dual quad core 2,8GHz 2008 Mac Pro with GeForce 8800GT and 6GB og RAM. So why is is so slow? Do you have the same issue?

BTW, Off Topic: Universal Binary is nice. But when it runs so slow on my machine, it would be unplayable on PPC.

I would contact Ferals support, you appear to be the only one with this issue (we have not had any similar complains amongst the thousands of players) if you attach a support report to your email we can have a look at what is wring with your setup.

p.s. as this is the xmas season you may have a delay in getting a reply.

I agree with edddeduck - contact the publisher. I've had RTW for the Mac for about 6 months now (?) and don't have the problem you do. I'm on a 2009 21.5" iMac. I've played RTW on a PC and the Mac performance is similar.
