Has anybody tried this in steam + Crossover? The complete pack is just $10. As much as Feral is being quite awesome, t that is quite tempting, considering you get an extra expansion (and the mac version will probably be $30.)

I'm more than happy waiting for Feral's release & paying a little extra, but have a look here (post #37): Crossover Games Compatibility

Sweet! The best game series ever! I might pick this up again if the port seems solid.
The lack of Alexander is like no loss at all, it was an evening of playtime and a feeling of "duh, did I really pay for this".
The main game and BI are semi-infinitely replayable, endless variations.

I'm really quite spoiled by the series, no other strategy offers the same kind of experience.

Yeah, I saw that. A steam version wouldn't have that problem of the not being detected.

Like this?

Nevertheless, it would be more patriotic to support your faithful Mac porting company. ;)

Is this a true Mac port or just the Windows version running on Cider or similar?

All games released by Feral Interactive are true Mac-native ports. Here's a recent comment from Feral Interactive's "edddeduck" posted in the "LEGO Indy Demo" thread:

"Cider uses a windows compiled executable with a collection of all the dll files required to run the game, you could think of it as a very small version of windows that has just enough to get the window app running on a Mac.

Our ports of games have no dll files required and only use 100% Mac native calls for everything in the game."

Just seeing that "minipage" gets me excited!  As I'm already familiar with the game thanks to friends who play the PC version, I'll probably pass on getting the demo & buy on release.  I'm fairly confident that Feral's port won't disappoint.

That's a dancing banana gone bananas!  (A pretty good mover, if you ask me). I'm excited, yes, but I'm not completely bananas... not yet anyway.  :D

No complaints here with any previous Feral ports I've got ("Imperial Glory" & "Lego Star Wars II"), so my confidence in Feral doing a great port of RTW remains high.

Any word on Mac<>PC multiplayer compatibility? I'm presuming the fact that this is an Intel only Legends title should help things.

AFAIK, no word yet, so maybe someone from Feral will confirm this either way.  I'd certainly welcome the option, but admittedly it's not a priority for me.
