I'm trying to setup Homeworld 2 in X.5.6 but it has popping in the audio when music or speech are turned up. (You can set both to 0 but no music or speech is a bummer.) Has anyone else found a way around this problem or had it at all? It works fine in X.4.11 on the same computer(core 2 duo imac 2.16ghz). Otherwise the game seems to run fine.

Have you tried installing a fresh copy and then applying the patch? The game works fine for me in 10.5.6 on my C2D iMac (not the same model as yours, but shouldn't make any difference).

Well I was using a clean install(the only way to recognize the serial was a clean install-no copying from another install) with the patch (it crashed at launch without it) and it still did it but for some reason something I did today magically fixed it . . . but I have no idea what - I can't seem to recreate the problem now. Good for now but bummer that I don't know how to fix it if it happens again. Thanks anyway.
