Yep my friends, Aspyr just released both retail and GameAgent versions of CoD 4 patch 1.7, bringing us to the same level of the Window$ version !

heh, well thats great!
looks like they were working hard on the 1.5 patch and then 1.7 came out, they didnt want to delay an extra month (but did anyway) to include the patch, so shipped 1.5 and immediately worked on 1.7 to bring it in line only 2 weeks after it hits the retailers, which is fairly good really.

Problem detected with the patch on a french localized version, ticked opened.
We have found a solution but we hope Aspyr will communicate on this problem.

The installation of Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare Multiplayer.app (located in /Applications/Call of Duty 4) appears to be incomplete. Reinstalling may fix this problem.
Anyone had this problem?

Check permissions? Reinstall? Check if you have English at the top in International (that is a common issue with badly written installers)?

Well, after repair permissions, reset PRAM, reinstall CoD4 and check over International I keep getting the same error

Ok I got it to work, had to use Pacifist and make a manual isntall, now the game runs on version 1.7549 and everything runs fine.

I reinstalled the game 3 times and repaired permissions but nothing worked then I fixed it by downloading the patch 1.7 again because the first time it only took 2 minutes to dl but the second time it took like 10 so it was dl improperly the first time.
Make sure it is the right patch dl there's one for the retail version and one for the digital dl version.

Hello eel, that is exactly what happened to me, I used Pacifist to get open the installation package and then drag all manually to their respective place over CoD4 folder.
I helped 3 or 4 others more over Game Ranger and 1.7 worked nice.

Fantastic work by Aspyr. And yes, great timing, as I just finished the single player mission. An immediate replay is on the cards!

There was nearly an IMG clan for Quake 4, but that fell through. If there is not already one, I think that IMG just needs a clan for all gaming. How about that? I think there might be something like that in Wow, and there is an IMG community thing on Steam, but then again, that is not the M in IMG.
