How does this game fair against other RPG's in terms of quests, and depth. It fairly cheap so I've been thinking of picking it up.

Around a 70% rating if you look at Gamerankings.com. Plenty of reviews linked from there to get an impression.

PS. Elmira?! You know you're literally 10 minutes drive away from me in north Waterloo, right?

Well I only had the GoYT for 360 but despite all its flaws on the console I enjoyed it. When compared to games like Oblivion, which seems to be the universal comparison for this game, it definitely falls short in a lot of areas, quests tend to be kind of generic, but the world is huge, and to me seems to be more of a living breathing world than what Oblivion offers. Combat is pretty straight forward but since its one of the fewer games out there that actually drop loot according to what your enemies are equipped with is a lot of fun.

To me the biggest drawback to the game was the graphics, definitely no where near as polished as Oblivion, and it was rather choppy on the 360, does the pc version of the game run like this I'm not too sure. I believe that the pc version received higher ratings but to me that seems kind of expected. On the plus side, the graphics feel much more creative than Oblivion, and the world has a much more overall high fantasy feel to it.

On one last note, I do believe there is a demo available for Two Worlds, probably worth checking that out first, not sure what type of computer you are running on but I get the impression that the game would be rather choppy on my 2.33ghz macbook pro with the x1600 and 3 gigs of ram.

~ Edit ~ I actually just saw your system's specs, will probably run fine on your tower, I got the demo to run pretty smooth on my tower so you should be fine. Depending on your money situation, I noticed you are considering upgrading to a ps3, they are making a ps3 edition that has been completely redone I think, so that version might actually be far superior to the current versions that are out now.

hehe well it is an entirely different type of game, though the Witcher was awesome and a very memorable adventure =)
