Ambrosia Software has announced the release of Uplink 1.6.1. This release restores compatibility issues and also provides enhancements to the cyber-hacking strategy game.

Uplink 1.6.1 features the following improvements and changes:

-- Restored compatibility with mods
-- Fixed an issue where with large world map.
-- Various bug fixes and enhancements

More about Uplink:
Welcome to the world of the cyber-hacking game Uplink, developed by Introversion Software and published for Mac OS X by Ambrosia Software. A world that is not all that different from the world that exists today: a world of high tech computer crime and industrial espionage on the Internet.

An enigma in itself, Uplink is akin to a more cerebral incarnation of Ambrosia's popular Escape Velocity series of games, with missions that interweave a threaded plot which is unveiled with each conquest. Only this time, you have only your intellect, hacking skills, and the computer systems you've compromised to aid you.

You play an Uplink Agent who makes a living by performing jobs for major corporations. Your tasks involve hacking into rival computer systems, stealing research data, sabotaging other companies, laundering money, erasing evidence, or framing innocent people.

You have the power, but do you have what it takes to master Uplink?
Uplink costs $25, requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, and is a Universal Binary application.

The update, free to registered users of Uplink, may be downloaded at the link below.

Any Uplink update is a good start to my day.

Edit: Actually, it seems to have an issue in windowed mode now. When I start the game, I have to run another window over the Uplink window to get graphics :|

I'm actually TOO good at both TMFPPG and Fable:TLC.
I sleep in a BBEdit T-shirt, but I'm a TextMate user.
