Hi all,
Since I'm working with the web a lot, I need (unfortunately) to test in IE. Normally at home I have my PC for this purpose, so that's no problem, but I'm also on the road quite a bit. I have XP on my MBP as well, but rebooting is a PITA when it's just to test a browser. There are also some services out there like Browser Shots, but that's rather slow.
I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with running IE through one of the virtualization/emulation methods, and if so, how well it works? It would be great to be able to run IE along with all my standard Mac stuff.

I have IE7 and MultipleIE installed (to test with 6 as well) in this set up and it works flawlessly. But as mentioned there are other ways of doing it.

When I'm working at home I routinely have Parallels running inside OSX, IE7 running inside that, Citrix running inside that, IE 6 running inside that and our CMS, Escenic, launched from inside that.
Sounds crazy. Works great. Better, indeed than a PC running the same core apps in the office.

Trying out the solution Janichsan linked to, and so far it's working pretty well. If I run into any problems, I'll try one of the other solutions. (I got a trial key for Parallels before realizing my XP disc is at home in Montreal, whoops.)
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

http://www.virtualbox.org/ is another free solution to run Windows inside OSX - though you'll need to reinstall Windows XP on a virtual drive.
