Just wondering if the PC expansions for Heroes of Might and Magic V can be installed in the Mac version. Since it's Ciderized, and the PC executable and directory structure are intact, it seems at least plausible.

I think it was stated on freeverse's thread that they woudn't work. Its a pity as there are very few good maps online that don't use the expansions... I'd rather have an intel/OSX native port of Heroes III though than the Heroes V expansions....

As I heard, both expansions aren't really worth the money. The reviews I read were rather disasteruos, and a friend of mine who played "Hammers" also was pretty disappointed. The most interesting thing about "Tribes" appears to be that you play the story of Dark Messiah from a different viewpoint. But apart from that, the campaigns are said to be pretty weak and the new races very uninspired.

Sigh. Weak or no, I should've bought the PC version. This will be the last mainstream strategy game I buy for the Mac.
