Hey, I'm sitting right here!
Seriously, what's the problem with it? It seems to run fine for me in Leopard. Give me some info to go on and I can see about fixing it for another patch.

Can you be more specific?
For some background, I'm the Mac programmer responsible for KOTOR. I took about 10 minutes browsing through your posting history to see if I could find your prior complaints, but the volume of your posts since last September has made this difficult. All I caught from your posting history was that Mac KOTOR sucks and I am, apparently, a very poor programmer, and something about it making you crap rainbows.
So give me some specifics about your OS, what Mac you are using, and what is going wrong and I promise you I'll see if I can address the issue. With that said, all I can say right now is that the Universal Binary runs pretty snappy for me under Leopard on a gimpy PowerPC-based Mac mini and an Intel iMac, and I haven't read any other specific complaints about other hardware. Maybe no one else is playing it - I don't know - but I can't fix it without *some* specifics.
Edit: what's with the profanity filter that turns swearing into baby-talk? Please tell me there's a way to turn that off.

think of it like SunnyD and McDonalds. Everyone loves those, but they dont swear...
Macbook Pro - C2D 2.4Ghz / 4Gb RAM / WD Scorpio Black 320GB ( 255GB OSX v 42GB XP ) / Geforce 8600M GT 256Mb / 15.4"
Cube - G4 1.7Ghz 7448 / 1.5Gb RAM / Samsung Spinpoint 250GB / Geforce 6200 256Mb
We won! Apple offer the 17" with a matte screen! Well... at a price...

I call bullpopsnizzle on that. You don't know what the fire truck you are talking about. User error, plain and simple. Try updating your fire trucking IMG drivers.

I'm just about to complete it for the second time as a whiter than white jedi this time around! this is my machine:
Hardware Overview:
Model Name: iMac G5
Model Identifier: PowerMac12,1
Processor Name: PowerPC G5 (3.1)
Processor Speed: 2.1 GHz
Number Of CPUs: 1
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 1.5 GB
Bus Speed: 700 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 5.2.6f1
I think the graphics card in this is an ATI radeon gtx 6600 or something like that. Yes I'm using Leopard 10.5.4.
Anyway its a great game, the only bugs i've found is in the sand people territory where HK47 'fell through' the graphics. Does anyone know if the sith lords is available on mac too?

A bit off topic here by responding to this, but I picked up an intelligence item yesterday in No One Lives Forever that was a letter which bemoaned the loss of a beloved game character who fell through a map hole and was never seen again.

No, it never made it to the Mac. I'd request it from the Feral Legends guys. It's OpenGL-based and probably a dead-simple port.
That said, you can get it to run reasonably in Crossover Games although some pixel shaders render droids with junky textures. It may even play in VMWare Fusion 2.0, but I haven't tried that. ObDisclosure: I bought it for my Xbox and played it on my 360 in backward compatibility mode, and it worked well.

Would really love to use a windows clone app so I can play sith lords and ARMA but I cant find one that will work on a PowerPC based G5...any ideas?

Hi - thank you for the link, but it looks like all sellers are in the US and me in EU, so delivery either takes 6 weeks (!) or costs 100USD. Blech.

I'm having major problems with the UB on this as well, and would probably at this point also tell people the game just doesn't work on a Mac. Glad to hear you're having a smooth experience...if you can help me get there, I'd appreciate it! Basically it crashes all over the place. I've found workarounds for some situations (adjusting graphics settings, using different patches, etc.) but can't progress any further now...when I enter the elevator in the sith base it ALWAYS crashes. Here's the specs on my machine. If you can help at all that would be great. Fun game...I'd love to really play it!
Mac Mini 1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Running OS 10.5.8
Graphics card is an Intel GMA 950
Using the KOTOR patch 1.03 Rev D
Thanks!
