I've pitched the idea to the other admins, so whether or not it's happening, know that it is on the table.

Atleast it's a better response than me getting burnt by fridgy for even thinking about it. ;D

Guys, guys ... this is Inside Mac Games, not "Inside Apple Games" ... we don't need no stinking iPod / iPhone around here. ;) :P ;)

(For the humour-impaired: It's only a joke!)

Well, as iPhone/iPod touch games seem to be the future of Apple gaming (note the minimal amount of sarcasm), there might be a change of mind. Considering the iPhone might be the first Apple platform on which we'll see exclusive games...

Considering that the iPhone, touch and other Apple touch-enabled technologies have the potential to the Apple's largest gaming platforms ever. 40,000,000 users by the end of the year walking around with Apple products capable of playing great games. Attracting people who otherwise don't own Apple desktops or laptops and wouldn't normally buy a computer game. Etc.

And considering that iPhone and iPod games take up a fourth of the News section anyway.

Sweetness incarnate in a little powdered donut. :D

Edit: Wait, how's the forum going to work? An addon to this one or a brand new one?

Tuncer

Tuncer, is that really necessary since we already have iphonegamer.com and iphoneledge.com?

All kidding aside, it doesn't really seem like something that should be separate from Inside Mac Games, especially if the iPhone could be the gateway product for people buying Macs in the future. Why have us all have yet another site that we have to have an account for.

Welp, as long as Tuncer let the cat out of the bag I might as well state some of the more obvious stuff. But you guys should just wait for it, a picture is worth a thousand words. It's Soon™.

As http://www.insideiphonegames.com would indicate, a brand new member of the IMG family, like Macgamestore or Macgamefiles.

There are concerns that going to a Mac centric site will put off some potential visitors who are not Mac friendly. It will be a neutral area in that respect, an Apple site, but away from the Mac world we swim in here. The red carpet goes out to PC users. Keep that in mind when you Mac folks are there, cause I'm going to be banging your heads together if you don't. Company's coming, wash your faces and put on a clean shirt.

So, we're all going to have to sign up for another forum? But, you said that company was coming and that you'd make me smell your litter box if I got all Mac-y at the new people. mR.sELvETaRM is so confused.

OK. I also got the barn floor hosed down, all the saws and chains put away, and those entrail buckets all sloshed out and fed to the pigs. Oh, and we took down the big Steve mosaic in the nave as well, just in case the aura was too strong.

Do we have to take down the statue of Steve too? I really like that one.
