Quicktime Pro required if you want to save them?
I believe so, yes. I will check on two machines at home tonight.

Well?
You're telling me it "works like a charm" whilst the developer's website doesn't even load the instructional movie properly, you (a developer at that) can't even specify for certain that you need QT Pro or no, which leads me to believe you don't even know which way is up.
So what is it? I should just go ahead and install something people rave about and they don't even know wth it is? Gee thanks, I just installed Tiger with narry a problem and now I can install something that could possibly take down my whole system.
Funny how they claim to be a media swiss knife and can't even get their own media to work.
I hope I get support when I buy a iphone monkey pong game.

1) Open the Youtube Video in Safari.
2) Go Window -> Activity and open up the activity monitor. Look for a large file that should be a few MB, and a link that should end in get_video.
3) Select it and press Apple - C.
4) Open up your downloads (Window -> Downloads) window and paste the link.
5) Once the video is downloaded, change the name to whatever you want, and add .flv as an extension.
At this point you can open the video with Quicktime to view it, and if you have quicktime pro you can export it from there. If you lack Pro, then iMovie should now be able to import the video file, then just use expert settings to export the video just as you would be able to do in Quicktime Pro.
Not one click, but once you get used to it you can get it to the exporting phase in thirty seconds flat.

worked perfectly. I needed to use the "open with" command cuz it wouldn't open with QT by default. It wanted to open with a Sparky ABC demo, by default
Anyway, I'm cool.
