Warhawk
Uncharted
Tekken 5 DR
Motorstorm
Those are good exclusives to play until LBP, Resistance 2, and Motorstorm 2 come out (unless killzone 2 turns out like Liberation on the PSP). Heavenly Sword and Rachet and Clank are worth giving a try. But it really depends how much of a committed gamer you are.

I am interested in Uncharted, And Metal Gear 4, and Resistance. I've played much of motor storm, and hated it. Im not into online games, so Warhawk doesn't really take my interest. I imagine i will only ever buy a few games for this thing.

In that case you should stick with uncharted, resistance (for it's single player), and TOD. Unless you want to get into some downloadable games like everyday shooter, super stardust, and pain. Quest for booty is coming very soon, and LBP is soon, not as in Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice soon though.

Soul Calibur 4 was just released if you want to try one of the more polished fighting games so far
StarWars: The Force Unleashed coming in September looks like it might be one of the best StarWars games this side of KotOR
Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 if you like shooters. Especially Resistance 2 might tickle your fancy (and Resistance 1 was just released as cheap Platinum)
Gran Turismo 5. Don't even bother with GT5 Prologue since it's basically a large demo for the full game coming later.
Prince of Persia. The new PoP game from Ubi looks absolutely stunning. While it might come to PCs as well, it's designed mainly for a gamepad.
Also worth to mention that out of the games Ichigo mentioned in his previous post, the majority is just hitting the streets in low cost packages. (I think they're called Platinum in Australia just as in Europe.... might be wrong though).

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

You might look at using an external HDD too, or just having a larger HDD put in and filling it up with video on a regular basis.
