Well, I haven't actually played my copy of uncharted yet, as I just got home for the evening from school, but I played a buddies copy in res for few hours and my feelings on the multiplayer are complicated.

On one hand it's definitely uncharted, with all the climbing and melee combat and such, but the MP got firetrucking COD'ified :( like there's loadouts now, and the shooting mechanics have been changed significantly. Like I was pretty decent at UC2 online (think my K:D is around 1.4) but it's totally different in UC3, the guns behave very differently, they're a lot weaker. Like you have way more health then you did in UC2, it's also way harder to hit stuff. I'm kinda bitter cuz I'm not lighting up the leader boards like I should be currently lol but I'm sure that will change in time and I'll be good to go!

In other news, I've only heard anything but absolute positive about the campaign

I took part in the beta, trust me, it all gets under your skin after a while and you can't put it down

I'll give multi another shot. The beta was decent, but I still don't think it's going to stick. I play UC for the story. I've already made a good headway into single, and it's definitely great there.

I totally forgot that they were including Starhawk beta codes with each copy. I've been quite interested in that one, so it ought to be fun checking it out whenever the beta will happen.

The Uncharted 3 beta honestly had the same effect as Battlefield 3's beta did on me, in that it killed my interest in the game's multiplayer because I did not like it very much. By contrast, I liked UC2's multi quite a lot and the UC2 beta was what sold me on adding MP to Uncharted being a good idea. Oh well.

That said, the main attraction of Uncharted is the story, not the multiplayer, so it doesn't matter if I don't really like it or it's forgettable (for me), I'll still pick it up eventually for the campaign.

The MP is growing on my now, I think a lot of the new maps are pretty sweet (although a lot of them are just slightly changed DLC maps from UC2). I know I said it's gotten COD'ified, but I think it be more accurate to say Halo'ified. The upped the health of everyone, so melee attacks can't kill with 1 bullet+ melee. You actually gotta go for headshots and good accuracy if you want to win fights. It's a little more difficult to master, but once you master it you can just tear up the map. And not everything is loadouts. The 'power weapons' lay around the map for pickup same as UC2.

Onto the campaign: absolutely amazing. It's more uncharted goodness, in what I would argue is their best campaign yet. I'm only on chapter 8, but that's what it's shaping up to be right now.

The campaign was great, but that ending is a bit too similar to UC2 for my tastes. You'll know when you get there. *shrug* Still had a lot of fun with it. Tried to get into the MP then, and, not surprisingly, it still doesn't do much for me. Back to BF3 then. :P

Well I'm loving uncharted 3 after playing it for the past month.

Definitely my top game played in November by far. i'm doing ok online, Think I have around a 1.4 ratio. The online has really grown on me. I used to think it was horribly imbalanced, but i'm realizing now that all the guns are extremely good, but they all require different play styles. The m9 is my gun of choice, but the G-Mal is looking to be a close second. It owns in larger more open maps.

Yeah i'm really enjoying it. Besides i have no money for anything till about February so i'm squeezing the most I can out of this game. I own it sometimes but others i go back to being the worst player on earth. HAve you noticed that Yemen just about never comes up? I think i've played it once since the game has been released!

Ya, i find their map system a little messed. There's time when the same map will come up like 5 times in a row, and other days when a map will literally never show up

And worth grabbing. Story is weak and silly, like all TRs, but Underworld sits alongside Anniversary as one of the two TRs I really enjoyed for their great level and puzzle design.

Been getting back into Gran Turismo... noticed they have a 200% XP bonus thing going, so it's never been a better time to train up my B-Spec drivers! I also finally, FINALLY, beat the Vettel Red Bull X1 challenge. That popsnizzle was CRAZY, yet at the same time, invigorating. A game doesn't often throw things at me that require 100% brainpower just because that's so overboard for the average gamer, but fortunately they threw that in there just to tell the experienced drivers "You think you're big time? You're gonna CRASH big time!"

I'll say this, although I got qualifying times, I will never, EVER catch up to Sebastian Vettel's times without a wheel and pedals. That is just not doable with a controller.

What's the X1?

Is anyone else still into UC3 multiplayer? I'm big on it at the moment, trying to unlock chloe's M9 in free for all and its become very apparent that the FAL-SS is ridiculously overpowered. Christ i fraking hate the FAL. Hugely overpowered noob cannon.

Hey this makes lots of sense, why dont we make the players wait till level 50... till they get really really good, to then give them the most powerful weapon in the game? Brilliant!

Ya I'm still into it. Loving it actually. I'm about level 60 of the second prestige. What's your online name AMG? I don't believe we are acquainted on the PSN.

The FAL is stupid, but so are a lot of the guns actually when you get to pick your mods for them. Get weapon's expert level 3, and it allows you to pick any 2 perks to throw on your long gun. The KAL with rate of fire and blindfire accuracy is stupidly unfair. just hold down R1 and you got 2 maybe 3 kills guarunteed lol It's my go to gun when I'm having a terrible game.

My standard gun now has moved from the M9 to the G-MAL. If you can land your shots the G-MAL is very potent from pretty much any rage, even ridiculously long cross map shots in the Museum and stuff.

I haven't been on for a few weeks cuz of family Christmas stuff and local Starcraft 2 LAN's but i expect I'll be on quite a bit. I have BF3 as well for PS3, but I like UC3 a lot better

Doing the 24 Hours of Le Mans right now in GT5's B-Spec mode. 15.5 hours in at the moment. This is actually hella fun. I got my guys comfortably into 1st before going to bed last night, but awoke to find them in 7th at -3 laps.

Been pushing them as hard as I can for the last 3 hours and I have them back in 3rd about 1.5 laps behind, so we're recovering. I know I could've given them the X1 and walked away and they'd win easy, but I wanted to win Le Mans for real. So, driving an Exxon-sponsored Peugeot 905 racecar. Main competition are a pair of frak fast factory-backed Audis and a Pescarolo C60 Hybride. Gaining on them slowly but surely. If I can get this tempo up I think my guys can regain 1st from the team Audi racers in another couple hours. Then it's just a matter of keeping my eye on them at regular intervals so they don't get lazy.

Using my star driver who's at level 39 and has gold on every race in the game except the two 24 hour endurance races as the team's primary driver, backed up by a level 38 who has never lost a race and a level 36 who is a tire-burning hothead. I think between them, with me managing, we just might pull this off.
