Off to Sony the PS3 goes...
Chromium (MacBook Pro 08) – 2.6 GHz C2D T9500 / 4GB RAM / 750GB STX MomentusXT / GeForce 8600M GT 512MB
Antimony (PowerBook G4 Titanium) – 1.0 GHz PPC 7455 / 1GB RAM / 480GB OWC Mercury SSD / Radeon 9000 64MB
When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

Dam, maybe they ran outta supplies. I imagine there was only a limited supply of motherboards and such to go into those original PS3's

The tail end of the dispute:
Quote
i do not know what pictures you would send me. That proves nothing. This is exactly why I quit talking to you in the first place. I could tell I would get nowhere and I am not the arguing kind of person. I will offer to pay you for shipping the item and for you seller charges and I think $20 should cover that. I know what I sold you and I know what you can get for it. That is my offer. I do not want to go back and forth with you anymore.
captfrost:
Oh, so first by asking for a return I was trying to extort you and get something for nothing, and now I'm the argumentative type so that's why you quit talking to me (hint: you never started until I opened a dispute and forced you to). And pictures plainly showing it's a 120GB CECH-2000A model and not what it was advertised as would prove nothing because you "know what you sold" me? This is outrageous considering it's pretty plain from previous communications that all I ever asked for was to return it since you sent me a different model than you advertised. Instead I get ignored, then when I force you to respond I get ad hominem attacks and finally an offer of $20 to resell your incorrectly described PS3 for you. I have a better idea, you refund me my $xxx.xx and I send your PS3 back to you. I've been on here for 12 years and this is the first time I've gotten the wrong model product and the seller has been anything but polite and happy to do a return. You're right, we're done here.
You have escalated the case to eBay Customer Support.

eBay Customer Support will get back to you within 72 hours.
Moral: If you advertise something as one thing, ship a person something else, and they notice, the smart thing to do is take it back and refund them, not try to verbally fence with them until they decide it's not worth the trouble and let you get away with it. Especially if they're clearly an obnoxious bastard like yours truly who counts any amount of time and effort expended on kicking your ass until you capitulate as time well-spent.

I hope the data loss isn't too bad...
I've been playing BF3 again lately, both on PC and on PS3. I'm merely OK when it comes to air vehicles, and last night I butted heads with a guy that could take me out, despite me turning the tightest circle I possibly could, and watching him on the radar he wasn't much tighter... So clearly I"m missing something. Is there another flight sim game you think I could train a bit with, to wean myself off the heat seekers? Was the Top Gun PSN game good?
Despite sucking in the jets, I had one hell of a time in the attack helicopters. Same match, and the enemy team had stolen one of our jets on Caspian Border, so I was in the Havoc with a buddy, going toe to toe with THREE jets and their own attack chopper! We had a little help from the ground, but we were dodging planes, skipping around unguided missiles, and generally kicking arse for a brief few moments!
I think, combined with the ground missiles we took out two jets and two choppers during that life. Was. Awesome.
Gutted I didn't have my little capture box plugged in.

As soon as i've got my iMac i'll be able to join you m8.
Naughty Dog released a massive new Uncarted 3 Patch today. Amongst other changes including a new tournament system, they've tried to neuter the GMAL again, fingers crossed it actually works this time!

On the plus side, the M9's higher rate of fire perk is now utterly beastly. The only problem is that it runs out of bullets too quickly! My favourite gun to pick up by miles. (Normally I'm running around with a base M9 and a pair of handicaps, so grabbing this über-weapon is pretty sweet)
So... It kind of evens out.
I'm more looking forward to the fresh Lab content, some of which sounds crazy.
Let me know when you're BF3-ing it up!

I've just moved into legacy 3 so i've gotta work my way back up to the M( (also my favourite). I had two rounds this morning, not really sure what the tournament system actually means. It is quite buggy i'd agree, i especially had problems with latency and players popping up out of the blue, had a few episodes where i gained kills from 1 shot etc.
Neutering the GMAL is the best decision ever though, I'm so thankful for that, i just hope we don't see a new OP blaster become apparent after this, although I have a feeling everyone is going to move to the M9 now. I've been using the M9 with the Uzi (whatever they call it) for a while now, combine it with weapon expert and you've got a not-stop blindfire frenzy at your disposal.

I'm half-seriously wondering if I got blasted by a solar flare this weekend what with all the crazy sun activity lately. I need to put a faraday rollcage in my Charger before it dies next and I have to walk around town.

there was recall in the mobo in your MacBook Pro. You can most likely get it replaced for free.
