Oh my god, even the windows version costs 54€. And it's hybrid.

I don't know why I'm so obsessed with this game. I know I won't buy it. Will I?

Maybe I just like the fact that Im providing Tiger versions :D

Well, spank my horse and call me Granma... it's actually hybrid.

But why are you so surprised that it costs 54€? Ever seen the Euro prices of any other EA game in the last time (55 €)? Or the original prices for Crysis, CoD 4 and Bioshock (60 €)?

Really?

I was kind of hoping they'd go the other way around with console games.

The last game I bought, by the way, was ETQW. And that costed 45€ at release. (well, not counting the 5€ I got off, due to my inate ability of "I have worked at the store I bought it from before")

Also, if you want, (and pay me in full), I can see how much they're asking for Spore, buy it with my inate ability, and then send it to you? Nah.. probably wouldnt be cheaper than amazon..

The good thing here is the hybrid disc.
Unlike other mac games, this will be 30€ couple a months forward and in the 19€ classics bin a year from launch.
Which incidentally is also the time when I might have upgraded from 10.4

Well, there's hope, but I'm afraid EA will milk this cow as long as possible – that is until Spore 2 will be released. The only EA games that actually drop in price pretty quickly are those yearly instalments of their sports games. The other hold their price a looooooong time. Battlefield 2 for instance (3 years old) basically still is sold for the original price (at least here in Germany).
