But strangely, it appears to be a bit slower to load websites, this new version of FF. Maybe it's just congestion?

The main reason I used Firefox was because of the adblock and noscipt abilities until it failed to show flash player stuff. In that case, I will most likely only use Safair now.

You could save your home pages in a bookmark folder on your bookmark bar and then open them in tabs – that's one click.

I don't like the amount of space the toobar / location bar takes up in Firefox compared to Safari, I prefer to have more space showing the page. Even with the address bar hidden in both browsers, Safari takes up less space, and IMO looks better.
(It's a trick I nicked from someone at work once. The hidden address bar is good if you can get used to hitting Cmd+L to type a URL. If only I could do the same for the Google box
(Edit: Oh, there is, it's the same thing. Older versions only revealed the add. bar.)
I'm actually TOO good at both TMFPPG and Fable:TLC.
I sleep in a BBEdit T-shirt, but I'm a TextMate user.

have you tried shrinking the toolbar? right click on the toolbar, select "customize" and then check the box that says "use small icons". I don't know why this isn't the default look. Otherwise, hopefully the mini-fox theme will get updated for FF3.

There is, but it slows down my page loads considerably and is a resource hog. I don't recommend it at all.

Really? Did you try the version I linked to (see above)? It doesn't slow down the page loading for me in any way – quite contrary – and I haven't noticed anything about it eating up too many resources.

I have no clue what you mean, Charmin, also, firefox seems a bit more efficient at putting more text on one page. See how the images are all synced, but the text aint? Also note that firefox has a smaller bar?
