I am on the verge of trying out the capacity of my Macbook Pro to run windows so that I can play some PC games. Before leaping into that particular abyss, i have some questions.
1) Which is better? Bootcamp or Parallels?
2) If I dont mind rebooting everytime I want to play a PC game, does Bootcamp work on most games?
3) What is the minimum version of Windows that I need to run my games?
Many thanks!

Using bootcamp, you are running windows natively, not virtualizing it. It has full access to all of your hardware. Because of this, it is the way to go for games.
What games are you planning on playing. If they aren't particularly graphics intensive, Parallels may be a viable alternative, and it is much more convenient.
