Just bought this from the Apple Store a couple days ago for my intel iMac. Turns out Aspyr has decided not to support an intel version of the game. Probably because it's is almost 5 years old. This will be a great game for you if you have a G5 Mac, though.

I'm looking to get Star Wars: Empire at War or C&C 3, but I'll take any good offer. Reply to this thread or email/PM me.

Just one good advice: don't get SW:EaW for mac. Get the original and the expansion for PC, then run it in Bootcamp or similar.

Why not? The game runs great.

Sim City 4 + Rush Hour run fine on Intel Macs(well... no worse than on PPC Macs). I believe there is even a UB Rush Hour patch.

Yes. You can find the Universal Binary patch here.

Yes, I used the patch. It fixes some graphical glitches, but does little for performance. Playing with the graphic settings low and running the game in a window helps a little, but it still gets so choppy that it's unplayable when your city starts to get large.

If you google this issue you see that there's really nothing you can do about it. Aspyr is no longer supporting SimCity 4 for the Mac. Like I said in my first post... probably because the game is almost 5 years old now.

SimCity4 runs appallingly on my 2.16 C2D w/ 7600GT, it runs only a little faster than on my 867 G4. I actually can't bear to play through the tutorial, it's too slow - especially when doing the driving missions.

I'm actually TOO good at both TMFPPG and Fable:TLC.

Didn't EaW have those annoying bugs and instability issues? Besides, the expansion is missing, which really makes a difference.

Sim City 4 runs appallingly on every machine that has ever been released. The PC version performance isn't much better.

The great thing about SC4 is it is excellent despite the performance issues. It isn't like a shooter where performance matters.

No grave bugs, no instabilities, no (serious) performance issues. It's an excellent port. The expansion is missing, that's true – but to be honest: you don't miss that much.

That's what YOU say. I would (and sometimes, have) killed for a Super Star Destroyer.

Agreed, the Tie Defender was an odd choice, but DARK TROOPERS ALL THE WAY, BABY!

Oh and that fantastic german mod, Age Of The Rebellion, makes it even so much grander. They scavenged parts of Supremacy, and made lots and lots of new stuff, and made it Extended Universe compliant, in all facets.
