ADC Display with XP Need help with Apple Cinema Display and Windows XP

I can't get my Apple Cinema Display (LCD) to work with games under Windows XP. I'm using Apple's VDI to ADC Adapter to connect my Cinema Display to the ATI 2600 card in my early 08 PowerMac Pro. The problem occurs when games try to change the resolution of the display, the screen goes black and the power switch on the display flashes. If I hook up a Viewsonic LCD Display I have no problems, but I don't want to have to keep plugging and un-plugging the displays.

Anyone have any suggestions?
