I just placed an order for a new MacBook Pro, so I no longer need my trusty old G4. My plan is to first put it on Craigslist, so as to avoid having to ship it, then try eBay if that fails. However, I thought I might see if anyone here wants it first.
The machine is a 2002 Quicksilver G4, but that's not the whole story; it has been heavily upgraded. Here's how I've tricked it out:
•Original 800 MHz processor upgraded to 1.6 GHz
•RAM upgraded to 1 GB
•Graphics card upgraded to RADEON 9800 Pro
•Combo drive upgraded to Dual-layer DVD burner
•4-port USB 2.0 PCI card
•2-port internal SATA card
•PCI wireless G internet receiver
•80 GB SATA hard drive (I'm keeping the other two drives)
I've had no major problems with this machine and have kept it clean and in good condition. As far as benchmarks, It will run Unreal Tournament 2004 at maximum settings with very good framerates. The new processor will no longer allow it to be booted into OS9, but you can still run older games in Classic, which you cannot do with Intel Macs. I can play Deus Ex on this thing very well. This has been a very good machine for me, but it's time to let her go. The MacBook Pro is all the computer I need.
Of course, I'm including an Apple Pro Keyboard, the one with the black keys and clear housing, as well as an Apple Pro Mouse (the clear lozenge looking one). I'll also include an OSX 10.4 Tiger DVD, with the OS preinstalled on the hard drive. As a bonus, you can also pick any one game that I have left on my list and I'll throw it in for free. I've even got a copy of iWork '06 I'll add for free as an extra incentive. The thing also has a built-in Zip drive, if anyone still needs that.
Anyone looking to pick up a good machine that will let them play those old classics, a capable machine for light to medium work, or just a good secondary desktop, this is a good choice. I currently use it for web surfing and email; video editing with iMovie; ripping, encoding, and burning DVD content, playing games, word processing, photoshopping, sound editing, and more.
These machines are still selling in the $200 to $300 range on eBay, and that's without upgrades, though some might sell for less. With all of the upgrades, I'm not sure at the moment what it's worth, but I'm doing some research to help me arrive at a fair price. In the meantime, if someone here wants to make me an offer, I'll be glad to entertain it. If you have any questions, ask them here or PM me. Obviously I can't ship the machine until my MBP arrives, which should be on or around March 5 if all goes well.

I just sold it for $400. Gotta love Craigslist. Now I'm going to get a 22" widescreen, flat panel display with a built-in webcam and microphone. Dell's got a good one for about $300. Never though I'd buy anything from Dell, but at least it's not a computer.
There they were, sitting in the van with all those dials, and the cat was dead.

I have read good things about (at least some) Dell LCDs over the years, particularly their price (especially in comparison to price of Apple's LCDs).
Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.
