Hey everyone,

It's been more than six years since we launched the current IMG website. Although a lot has been added and changed over the years, we think it's time for a fresh new look and feel, and we want your input!

Now is your chance to tell us what you like and dislike about the current site, and if you have any ideas for new features you'd like to see, please share those as well. We'll take all your feedback into consideration, and in a few months we'll let you sign up to beta test the new site.

Yea, he's like Rocky. They just bring him out for a bump in ratings and nostalgia. :)

As for changes, hell who really gets caught up in that. I know a bad website when I see it, sort of like what that judge said about pornography. ;)

Honestly, I'm partial to the Drudge Report's look.

However, I shall honestly think on this w/ pen and pad in hand (TextEdit actually).

I can't honestly think of anything about the site that particularly bugs me at the moment (aside from the forum's inability to remember me whenever my IP address changes).

Make it so that the links in news articles show up in their accompanying forum post. :nods:

Update the free games offered with IMG Pro.

Can't say I mind how it looks too much though.

Rounded corners, over used AJAX, and a super reflective logo...on second thought, maybe not.

Well, to be frank, the current look is great, but like everything: change is good.

I think we definietely need a change to the site here, partly to keep up with everything else that is going on around us, and also purely because of the nautre of the action.

I am sorry, but I can't really think of anything off hand right now, but I would have to say that I think the site shouldn't be drastically changed, but still have a different feel to it, but a relateable feel that we have felt before, but in maybe a different tone. Possibiliy a lighter more colourful tone, instead of all of the greys, blacks and stuff that is around here. Maybe the change should be reminisecent, or something not to far away, but far away enough to be different but still the IMG we know and love. Other than that, I can't think of anything to say really.

By the way, give me a week or two and I could give you some pretty good ideas, [hopefully]. :)

Hah, that's nothing. I was member #0 before I changed my screen name to the current one! By the way, I like the way the site looks. The only thing I'd change is to get rid of those annoying adwords. That is the one truly bad thing about the site. Another improvement you guys can make is to put navigation in the game image gallery for "next" and "previous". This should be extremely easy to do.

Another thing to improve the sites: Free Games!

My suggestion is to fix the "About IMG" email addresses. Getting in touch with the people listed is impossible. That info needs to be updated too. And add me!

Not unless Tuncer changed his name to Jason... but who knows HOW those wacky Canadians interbreed.

Well, I made my topic on it a day or two ago, but I may as well reiterate, making the link bar at the top of the page more distinguishable from the bookmark bar in most browsers would be cool.

Aside from that, I can't really think of anything, the site's pretty well-designed.

Well, maybe give tBC a change of clothes.

Apparently, Stormchild hasn't read the IMG Pro Users Forum lately, or he would know about the coup that is in progress.

Assuming the coup is unsuccessful though, I like the current look over most everything else I see out there. Barring an increase in review content and news, which is not likely anytime soon with the current state of Mac gaming, I'm not sure cosmetically altering the site is going to do much to increase hits. The other comments about updating the free game selection for IMG Pro is a good one, and maybe some new themes as well as other incentives might be nice.

I'd like it if things arranged a little differently. Maybe.

Like maybe there's links to the same thing too much.
I dunno. Maybe it's me. Color things up a tad for links instead of graying out.

Get all the history online. Make every single past CD and floppy disk issue of IMG available at least for pro users. Old games are fun and so are old IMG disks.

I'd have to agree to keep all the reviews online and keep comments options available...

I have some late reviews to add in the umm... future. Really.

My main gripes are two already mentioned: -

1) I've just renewed my IMG Pro the other day and I've now got Jedi Acedemy, Return to Castle Wolfenstein with Age of Mythology on the way ... but I'm not interested in the other titles. Can we update the list ?

2) It does get a bit annoying that it always remembers my pro account on the main site but the forums always forget me.

But aside from that I like the site a lot - keep up the good work!

How about the ability to give a thumbs up/down on a story and/or digg the news items? I wouldn't mind seeing IMG entering into the Web 2.0 era (whatever that means).

Does the same to me, even if dhcp doesn't renew. It is some buried BS coding in this canned forum code... may be fixed in newer versions in the future. Who knows with them.

Yeah, it seems that happens to some people and not others. Why? Good question!

I think that refers to the overcomplicated fluffy state of websites where trying to find two lines of useful information is an act of pure dexterity and will of mind to bat down all the crazy crap thrown at you at macrocosmic speeds and force.

... or maybe it's just using more dhtml to make things blink.
