I'm trying to use my bluetooth mouse under Windows XP with BootCamp. Allegedly, that should be as easy as selecting the mouse in the "Bluetooth" control panel. Unfortunately, there is no such control panel. I already tried to install this from the Windows CD, but it seems to be either very well hidden or it's not installable this way.

The problem is definitely not the Bluetooth controller. It appears in the hardware informations under Windows, and the appropriate drivers are installed.

Has anyone an idea? Is there some software downloadable from Microsoft to get working Bluetooth support?

No, worked for me from the get go. I can connect to my cellphone this way.

Systemsteuerung>Bluetooth-Geräte is the way I do it.

Hm, yes – it should be. But it's as I said: this Bluetooth control panel is not there...

Then the apple drivers are screwed, not the windows ones, I gather. Probably because it doesn't detect a bluetooth thingie at all.

I don't think so: the Bluetooth receiver does turn up in Windows' hardware informations and allegedly has a working driver. From what I gather, the control panel should turn up no matter if the computer is actually BT capable or not – at least it is present on our Windows machines here at the university, of which not a single one has a BT receiver.

Is your Bluetooth connection in Windows listed as "disabled" or "disconnected"?

In the Device Manager? There it's enabled. Is there someplace else where this could have been disabled?
