Please forgive me if this has been asked before. I have an Imac with the 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo processor and was wondering how pc games (CoD 4, Half Life, Halo) would perform. The Imac has ATI Radeon X1600 graphics. I have Leopard installed which comes with Boot Camp from what I understand.

Thanks

Yep, Leopard comes with Bootcamp, though you'll still need a retail or OEM copy of Windows (not an upgrade copy).

Half Life and Halo will run well, CoD4 will need some settings turned down, but I believe there are others here who have run it on machines with the X1600.

That's great.

I found the Bootcamp Assistant in Utilities. I think I'll get the Windows XP Home with SP2 OEM.

Thanks

I have an Macbook Pro, also with the x1600. And it rocks. So you'll be able to play most stuff, at medium settings. Some even at high settings.(like ET: Quake Wars for example)

If Infinity Ward deserve praise, it should be for the versatility and economical features they have packed into their engine. It runs Great on my Macbook pro and im only running one gig of ram.

Upon overclocking my graphics card, I can now run Half-Life 2 Episode 2 (remember that the episodes have improved graphics) at full quality.

"Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says "But Doctor... I am Pagliacci."
