I ordered it from Amazon (J&R Music World's the actual vendor). Anyone else ordered it? Tried it?

Wow...don't everyone post at once. This kind o' traffic will shut down the IMG servers! :blink:

I guess, there is just no one who ordered it – let alone played it. It actually doesn't seem to be out yet, despite what Amazon says.

Well, since I have all PPC Macs, I will have to stick to the ol' Slope Rider! Though it runs fast as hell on my G5's (even with my updated high res snow and rider textures)!

It's too bad it will not be universal binary. It looks pretty good.

I also ordered it a while back (haven't received it yet). They were supposedly looking for a Mac distributor last March.

I'd better get some decent performance out of it on my iMac especially when you look at the system requirements on the
Destineer Studios website (and I hope they at least checked compatibility under OSX 10.5x).

Well, if you've got the "stomach" for it, there's always Tuxracer! ;)

And of course the much more recent fork, Extreme Tux Racer. :)

I forgot about that one! :lol: You know, the game really isn't half bad. I forgot it was even around.

OK, quick feedback: FUN game. Can't beat it for the price. A little glitchy, but no app crashes. Still can't figure out what key they're referring to for "Continue" and "End Run". Anyone know?

From the screenshots it looks pretty good. Too bad it isn't UB. I could really go for playing something other than SSX on my Kids' Wii or Val D'Isere for the Atari Jaguar (anyone still have one of those? :lol: ).

I have ordered it, cause it looks pretty good, shame that it's glitchy then. Won't be able to give any feedback for a little while though as I live in Australia so it'll take a little while to get here.

I previewed the game on iGame Radio on February 4. It's a fun game with lots of sandbox potential. Have the full game, but haven't had the chance to play with it yet...too many other games to play. Heh. The preview version, however, didn't have anything buggy for my Macbook Pro.

I wish I could play it. It finally arrived but if I try to run it windowed it'll drop to 1fps, and in fullscreen it looks like the screen below :(

Okay if anyone ends up with the same problem I had here is how I fixed it.
Go to Documents and take a look in the folder DropPointAlaska

in there you'll find a file called gpu_settings.scfg
Open it with TextEdit and change the following line from

parallax_mapped_terrain_=true

to

parallax_mapped_terrain_=false
