I'd better get some decent performance out of it on my iMac especially when you look at the system requirements on the
Destineer Studios website (and I hope they at least checked compatibility under OSX 10.5x).

Go to Documents and take a look in the folder DropPointAlaska
in there you'll find a file called gpu_settings.scfg
Open it with TextEdit and change the following line from
parallax_mapped_terrain_=true
to
parallax_mapped_terrain_=false
