Recently I have been playing a fair bit on driving games using my Logitech Formula Force Wheel or Flight Sims using my Gravis Joystick. The problem is I find that some games don't like it if they are both connected to my Mac at once Continually unplugging and changing them is starting to get frustrating. There is also potential wear and tear on the USB port I use on my Keyboard. Has anyone come across any kind of USB on/off switch or even a software method of switching HID devices on and off?
USB on/off switch?

Your games should let you select which device(s) you want to use...

An USB cable only has 4 leads. The two other pins are for power, the two inner pins for data. Theoretically, you could simply cut an extension cable in half and solder a switch between the + line. On your own risk, of course.
Now officially the forum idiot
