Not really, but i am quite lazy. I want to be able to turn off my computer after a big Front Row session, but i don't want to have to get out of bed. I haven't the slightest idea how to do this? Any ideas anyone?

just exit front row (though that in itself might not be necessary) and then hold down the play/pause button till you see a little picture of your remote with a bunch of Zs coming out the end come up on the screen. let go and the computer goes to sleep seconds later.
i believe the length of time to hold down for is 3-4 seconds.
neat huh? and works just like the appleTV and ipods.

curse apple and their new remote control security measures which blocked things and created the accursed double input bug pretty much across the board.

yeah i knew that one... the other night because it is so hot here i was just concerned about leaving the computer on overnight. sleep seems to be more effective in leopard now though. when i used to leave my computer to sleep, it would bitch and whine when i woke it back up.
and remote buddy is not anyones friend! i cant stand it!

Not sure about the power-consumption and heat of a mac mini but I understand it doesn't use much when in Sleep mode.
Still, if you do want to shutdown from frontrow, I wrote a plugin for FrontRow to do exactly that.
Check this website to download it. Comes with instructions.
Cheers.

But good plug in for those who prefer a visual aspect to this instead of a hidden feature.

Yes it works, absolutely. But then your mac sleeps. The plugin shuts it down, these are two different things, sorry if that wasn't clear in my previos post.
