Ugh??? thought COD4 was out already... I must have seen an advert for pre-orders on amazon or somewhere similar.
Nevertheless it looks like I will soon be joining my fellow clan boys (PC users all) on COD 4.

yeah... it's on pre-order and should ship at the end of August/september/october/the second coming (delete as appropriate)  ;)

A Radeon 3650? Oh, wait.

And there are Leopard drivers for it?

Just by way of a post-script to this issue I do from time to time drop into Second Life, I'm not an addict but it passes some time on.
So yesterday I tried to create a new profile, account etc having lost my original data due to previous Mac frying. Needless to say I get a message suggesting that I can't login but with no explanation.
Of course I have contacted their support department.

damn people, again stop these "the problem is Leopard" non-sense!

Again, I have the EXACT same symptoms on Tiger and 8600M GT on MBP, just try to reinstall Tiger 8600M GT MBP and you will see.

The problem ISN'T LEopard, but 8xxx drivers that have problems with this game and it's occuring ever since they put 8xxx GPU.

You 8800 GT guys didn't notice it in Tiger cuz oh wait, there wasn't any 8800GT drivers before 10.5.2 !

Up !

I just caught the train on the run...
I was curious to see if my CoD2 was still great after all this time, as I didn't play it since I upgraded to Leopard.

Well, there are troubles even on a G5. The last time I played it was smooth and fast. Performance are now slower (80-90 fps on Tiger, every option at max), now max 20-30 fps with same options !!!
I even "lost" foreground sound in game ! I can still hear the background sound in game, but there is no sound on dialogues or weapon shoots !! No problem so far with mouses (Razer Copperhead / Logitech MX 1000)

I'll try fresh install tomorrow and will post again.
But I seriously have a performance drop in game.

My Graphics are : GeForce 7800 GTX 512 MB (PC flashed card - GPU NV70)

This is a PCIe card for your G5? I don't think I can promise much for this particular setup as it's hard to come by nowadays, but it may be that the fixes we do for the 8xxx-class NV cards may incidentally help.
