SteamTRAIN has been upgraded to version 3.  A Mac-only steam locomotive and train simulator from NostWare.com, SteamTRAIN has transitioned to a dual terminal track plan with a working turntable and roundhouse at each end.  New features include more complex terminal switching, visible coaling stations, plus express trains now seen and heard passing your locomotive.

You represent the engineer and crew of an 1800's era steam train. Your vintage train consists of a steam locomotive and tender, plus mail, baggage, coach, or freight cars.

Your train will travel between stops, up and down grades, negotiate curves, switch tracks, and couple/uncouple cars. Controls include the throttle, boiler pressure, traction sand, two brake types, manual couplers, and track switches. Beware the Phantom Express. Choice of Mail Train and Dispatcher Modes.

SteamTRAIN runs at full speed on all Intel Macs (under Rosetta) plus most PowerPC Macs using Mac OS X 10.3 or later. It costs $22 to register. Follow the links below to learn more and download the latest version.
