w00t!

pretty good demo, though its not very long... even with exploring everywhere, I only got around 45 minutes out of it... but then again, its just a little taster.

oh, and apparently, the game isnt fully/officially released until tomorrow... how odd?

IT DOES WORK ON THE MAC MINI!

Even if they say it's not supported.

My Mac mini:

2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
1 Gb Ram
GMA 950

1024x768, no antialiasing, everything else is ON.

That's pretty damn good for a mini, I'm impressed.
My copy arrived just last week
It's currently in my to-play pile with Worms 3D which I got with it. I love how Feral offer to chuck another game in there just for a little bit more.

I only tried the demo. I hope they don't change anything for the full version.

i dont think anything has changed really. I wouldnt expect performance to get any worse, thats for sure, and I believe that if something is unable to run the game, a warning will pop up to say that it wont run/wont run acceptably.

Yep
She's further than me in Apocalypse Weekend even, I don't like how it's harder and has taken away all of the free-roaming freedom that made the original Postal 2 so great.

Now that is impressive. If the whole game runs smoothly from start to finish you should let them know.

I did, here's the reply from Feral Interactive Marketing to me:

Dear Customer,

The full game does have the exact same requirements as the demo, however, at this time we do not offer support for GMA cards, which means if you do encounter any issues, we may be unable to help.

If you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Best Regards,

Yaser Latef

So it should work, but if anything goes wrong, you're on your own.

I got around to try the demo on my 1.83 GHz Core (not 2) Duo on the weekend, and it indeed runs quite well. Some slowdowns in wider open areas (like the waterfall room right at the beginning), but it's very well playable.

w00t!

in relation to performance, the waterfall is one of the worst areas in the game. specially if youve got Depth of Field effects turned on.

That's cool, I wonder if they will change the box art to also reflect this.

So, I've never played Boob Raider (:P) before 1 week ago. Rented TR: Anniversary for the 360 and played through it. I gotta say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune has definitely seized the crown for the genre from Tomb Raider, but that doesn't mean TR:A wasn't still fun as heck in its own right.

I heartily recommend it to anyone who's in the same boat as me and wasn't in on the first 10 years of Tomb Raider. This is a great opportunity to check out Lara's first adventure without having your eyes bleed over the original's graphics. I'll be buying the PS2 version now that I know I like the game, and will buy the Mac version later in the year once it's available for PPC. Probably pick up TR: Legend PS2 as well since it uses the same engine, and will definitely buy TR: Underworld once it's out later in the year.

Anyone know if Legend was ever ported to Mac?
Cypher (PowerMac G5 Quad) – 2x2.5 GHz PPC 970MP / 16GB ECC RAM / 1TB WDC Velociraptor, 2TB STX Constellation ES.2 / QuadroFX 4500 512MB
Kestrel (Falcon NW Tiki) – 4.2 GHz Ci7 4770K / 16GB RAM / 512GB Crucial M550 M.2, 2x480GB Intel 730 (RAID0), 3TB STX Barracuda / GeForce GTX TITAN 6GB
Chromium (MacBook Pro Early 2008) – 2.6 GHz C2D T9500 / 4GB RAM / 960GB Crucial M500 / GeForce 8600M GT 512MB
Antimony (PowerBook G4 Titanium) – 1.0 GHz PPC 7455 / 1GB RAM / 480GB OWC Mercury Legacy Pro / Radeon 9000 64MB

Eric5h5:
When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.
