Excellent. I just reinstalled 'The Movies' in anticipation of the expansion.

Yeah, odd this is so quiet. But still nice to see.

But (unfortunately) since I got both The Movies and Stunts and Effects bundled last Boxing Day for Windows for less than the Mac expansion alone is selling for, I won't be in this time for the Mac version.

I never checked this game out. Anyone care to spout about it's greatness?

its pretty neat, but as with any moneleaux (is that right?) game its inevitably flawed because of it being a moneleaux game. B&W lacked focus, B&W2 lacks some of the magic that B&W had, The Movies tries to get you to do waaaay too much at the same time.

think Sims 2 on steroids with ADHD.

but its still a good solid game and making your own films (complete with voice overs) is quite amusing. This expansion seems to cure a few of the problems, such as not having anywhere near enough variety in the sets and actions etc. etc.

basically, if theres nothing else on your gaming list, id get this, but if there is something newer which people are raving about, get that.

wasnt there a demo??

At least Molyneux is insightful and recognises those flaws... which doesn't stop him to make some more mistakes with his next game. ;)

I would assume that they would be talking about the French version. If so, does that mean we will see the English version before Christmas?

Im pretty sure that seeing as Feral are based in the EU, they accommodate all the languages they can from the get go. Saves work down the line.

not to mention that they would get all the international assets from the original devs, who were the ones who had to do all the hard work to make it international in the first place.

in other words, itll be coming in January if ludomac is correct (and they tend to have the inside line with Feral recently anyway).

I note that on Feral's mini site, they note that the French version will be shipping behind the German and English versions. Perhaps there is hope yet?

Possibly, since Feral seems to have to do some extra work with the French version: the French never got the PC version of that expansion (if I understand that Ludomac article correctly).
