Does anyone find that it can be really hard to join a game?

Lots of times the progress bar freezes on 'getting server info' or 'sending client info' even though there's a crazy amound of disk activity going on..

Or you get into a game & then it freezes after about 10 seconds?

Once I get past the first 10 seconds on a good server I can generally play indefinitely without further issue.

Tonight though I squandered a full 30 minutes selecting server after server & just having it hang on the way in.

My number one annoyance in this game now is when people spam the medic button constantly. I wish I could boot them.

All of my favourites are nearly always full.

Or, worse, occasionally completely empty.

So, does anyone want to hazard a guess at who's best overall, and who rules in specific classes?  Here I am (once you're logged in, you'll get a "compare stats" link), and just a quick reminder--be sure to join the IMG Steam group if you ever want to take a few shots at me (or be my medic, if that's your thing)!

Well, I can tell you who's not best overall, if that helps.

I'm too fond of running into heavily defended areas to ever score too much..but I can clear a room!

My new favorite class is medic. but if there are a ton, then I'm heavy (occasionally switching to pyro/demo man).

I love Pyros and Engineers, though I generally play whatever the team seems to need at the moment (except Spys and Scouts, which I'm crap at).

I would definitely be down with setting up a team session, though time is tight for me right now as the semester comes to an end.

If people are playing well as a team, then I enjoy Demoman the most but because he's skewed so much toward ranged attack that only works when there's a Heavy or Soldier to keep the opposition off.

Pyro's pretty hilarious too.

Medic is kind of fun, you tend to attract a lot of attention from enemy snipers though..

I like playing Heavy if there's a Medic available too but I think the Minigun is kind of underpowered compared to the one in TFC.

What amuses me is how (especially in 2Fort) you can often  join a team to find 5 or 6 engineers, leaving you with no appreciable offense at all!

I am hopeless at Scout. I think you need to be under 20 to have the reflexes for that job!
