If I can get the RSS feed, I won't touch the widget, no exceptions.

I run Mac OS X (10.3.9) thus, I use Yahoo Widgets (previously known as Konfabulator)
Thanks for reminding me, I had to set my alarm widget for in the morning!

i dont really bother using widgets either.
but i wouldnt say to stop the 3rd version, theres plenty people out there who dont come on the forums who would use a widget.
Macbook Pro - C2D 2.4Ghz / 4Gb RAM / WD Scorpio Black 320GB ( 255GB OSX v 42GB XP ) / Geforce 8600M GT 256Mb / 15.4"
Cube - G4 1.7Ghz 7448 / 1.5Gb RAM / Samsung Spinpoint 250GB / Geforce 6200 256Mb
We won! Apple offer the 17" with a matte screen! Well... at a price...

get OS X Panther up to speed without upgrading like pocketlight
for a spotlight alternative, I'm using these more regularly and I hope that others still using Mac OS 10.3.9
will give them a try too.
Widget tech. sure beats firing up a big bright browser to go here there and everywhere, when instead you
can configure and pick the widgets you like and get way more still.... in a nice peaceful widget desktop way.
Please keep updating and please keep creating great Widgets, Widgetmakers!
Thanks!

That's for anybody who wants to use the one I made last spring. IMAO, it works far better than the original IMG Widget 1.0 that Tuncer has up for download on the IMG site.
Assuming I decide to do it, work on 3.0 will commence the day Leopard ships.
Some features and crap I've decided to include –
News
Calendar with release dates and events (this will need some community work, though)
Podcast section
Blog links (possibly, assuming somebody other than myself starts posting entries regularly)
All the resizable goodness you could ever want
Glossy IMGish interface
Possibly something for MGS
Or who knows – maybe I'll just deploy the thing as a standalone application.

Or an IMG Sherlock channel would/would've been pretty sweet!

You have two. You have the original, broken version that IMG officially supplies, and the version I made in early 2007 that actually works with the RSS feed. Mine is loads more awesome anyway.
Mine will hopefully become the next "official" news widget.

There's no Dashboard Widget for IMG?
Do the Yahoo Widgets work for Dashboard too?
Dashboard Widgets don't work for Yahoo. Do any of them?
